Ashley Greiner
Ashley is a patient advocate, public speaker, and writer. In 2009 she was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease and chronic hives. As she learned to navigate Hashimoto's thyroiditis, chronic migraines, ventricular tachycardia and chronic spontaneous urticaria, she realized the importance of educating herself and being her own advocate in the healthcare space.
Ashley was ultimately diagnosed with advanced congestive heart failure (CHF), dilated cardiomyopathy, sleep apnea, depression, anxiety, gout, and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH/NASH). Through her journey as a chronic illness patient and advocate she has come to value the importance of community and support from those going through similar experiences.
She is the creator and administrator of a virtual support group for CHF patients & caregivers, with over 4k members worldwide. Prior to her diagnoses, Ashley was an attorney who practiced Workers’ Compensation and Disability Law. Although she misses practicing law, she brings her legal background, knowledge of the health insurance world and fierce activism with her to her patient advocacy work. Ashley’s hobbies include reading, traveling, cooking and spending time with her nephew, niece and cousins.
